Mariya began her career in the film industry as a Directors Guild of Canada permittee, building a strong foundation in production before transitioning into advertising. She went on to serve as an Executive Producer for two production companies and later worked as an integrated agency producer, gaining extensive experience managing projects from concept to delivery.

With over eight years of hands-on experience, Mariya has led productions with budgets up to $1.5 million and crews of more than 80 people. In 2023, she was selected for the Whistler Film Festival's Producer’s Lab and Power Pitch Competition, further strengthening her producing craft and expanding her industry network.

She is currently in post-production on her first feature film, a comedic drama produced with Motion58, while continuing to grow her commercial portfolio. Her past work includes campaigns for RBC, Expedia, A&W, Destination Vancouver, Novus, Whitecaps FC, TELUS, and McDonald's, produced through Will Creative and Cossette agencies.
